Rhythm Snowsports has been operating in Cooma, Australia since 1985. Rhythm was started as a small service station and is now known as the biggest and most progressive snowsports store in the southern hemisphere. Rhythm Snowsports also has stores in both Hakuba and Niseko, Japan.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As a custom boot fitter your role will be to help our customers attain their perfect boot so that they can be more comfortable and confident on the hill.
We want our customers to be the best skier/snowboarder they can possibly be, and to do that we want to provide them with the best boot fitters.

Your role as a Rhythm boot fitter will be to develop solutions for customers by listening to their needs and wants, and to recommend the appropriate product.
This role involves having high attention to detail and being able to quickly and efficiently solve problems. You will also be helping the Ski department when needed by the manager.

JOB DUTIES

Acknowledge customers quickly and courteously

Provide personalised boot fittings across downhill, back country, alpine touring and cross country

Ability to conduct foot and gate analysis

Liner moulding and customisation

Custom footbeds

Shell modifications and repairs

Comprehensive understanding of skiing, biomechanics and boot fitting techniques

Repairs and modification of boots

Determine guest equipment needs, assist with rental selection and set up

Assist guests with retail goods that they are looking for

Complete necessary documentation and paperwork neatly and accurately

Comply with all area and industry procedures and regulations

Comply with all company, store and area policies and procedures

Keep work area organised and clean

Maintain rental fleet in good condition

Train customer on equipment care and use

Co-operate and assist other departments as needed

Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

To be successful in this role you will need to have a basic background knowledge on boot fitting, although if needed training will be provided.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and has a positive attitude with a desire of giving our customers the best in-store experience.

WORK HOURS

Average of 35-40 hours per week during peak season, more in busier times and less in the shoulder season’s, dependant on snow conditions and business demand. There are both day and night shifts available.
