When choosing ski poles, you’ll need to consider a few different things:

• Material: Carbon and aluminium are two of the lightest on the market
• Length: Skis poles come in a variety of sizes. Your height typically correlates with your pole's size, but there are a few exceptions. As a rule of thumb, your arms should be at a 90-degree bend when holding your poles in the snow - roughly belly button height - but it does vary from person to person so let us know if you need a hand.
• Adjustability: Are you heading into the backcountry and need something that’ll fold away? As well as “standard” poles that aren’t adjustable, you’ll find telescopic and fold-down poles perfect for attaching to backpacks.
• Colour/ design: An aesthetic choice but also a practical one if you’re prone to dropping poles in the snow.
