Sizing

To find your perfect size, measure the circumference of your hand at its widest point, just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Use a soft measuring tape and wrap it comfortably around your palm. Compare your measurement in centimetres with the size chart to determine your fit.

If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a little extra room and comfort.

Buying Guide

Intro
Intro

Choosing the right gloves or mittens can make the difference between staying warm all day or cutting your session short. Here’s what to look for when picking your perfect pair.

Glove or Mitt
Glove or Mitt

Choosing between gloves and mittens mostly comes down to warmth and dexterity. Gloves give you better grip and control for adjusting gear, holding poles, or handling your phone. Mittens are naturally warmer since your fingers share heat inside one compartment, perfect for colder days or lower activity levels. If you want something in between, lobster-style mitts, combine finger separation with mitten-level warmth.

Choose by Activity

Think about how and where you’ll use your handwear.

  • For resort riding, prioritise warmth, waterproof protection, and durability.
  • For backcountry or touring, look for lighter, more breathable models that prevent overheating on the climb.
  • If you want one pair for everything, All Season models offer a balance between warmth and dexterity for all-round conditions.
Sizing
Sizing

A proper fit keeps your hands warm and responsive.

Use the size chart provided for each brand to find your correct size, and follow the measuring instructions carefully — some brands size by hand circumference, while others use hand length.
Keep in mind the intended gender fit (Men’s, Women’s, or Unisex), as sizing may vary between models.

If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a little extra comfort and mobility.

Materials & Performance

Every part of a glove plays a role in how it performs on the mountain.

  • The shell (also called the backhand) defines overall protection, it shields against wind, snow, and abrasion while shaping flexibility and breathability.
  • The palm influences grip, durability, and sensitivity when handling gear.
  • The insulation controls warmth and comfort, balancing heat retention with breathability.
  • And finally, the lining affects how the glove feels inside — adding softness, moisture management, and temperature regulation.

Together, these layers determine how a glove responds to movement, weather, and long days outdoors.

How Waterproof Do You Need?

Our waterproof scale (1–5) helps you understand how each glove performs in wet conditions:

  • 1–2: Minimal protection for dry weather.
  • 3–4: Water-resistant for mixed conditions.
  • 5: Fully waterproof with premium inserts like GORE-TEX or DK Dry.

Check the waterproof icon on each product to find your match.

Understand Warmth Ratings

Every glove and mitten includes a warmth rating so you can match it to your conditions:

  • Spring: Light insulation for mild or active days.
  • All Season: Balanced warmth for most winter conditions.
  • ICold: Heavy insulation for freezing or deep-snow days.

Look for the warmth icon on each product to compare protection levels at a glance.

Functional Features

Small design details can make a big difference in comfort and usability.
Look for heat pockets or pass holders for added convenience on the slopes, and wrist loops or leashes to keep your gloves secure when you take them off. Adjustable straps and drawcord cuffs help seal out snow and fine-tune the fit, while long cuffs offer extra coverage in deep snow conditions.
These practical features add up to more comfort, better protection, and fewer hassles during long days outside.
