Features

Apply in thin layers and smooth with a cork
Before applying wax, clean then sandpaper the wax pocket
For best grip results, iron in a layer of base specific wax first, let it cool, then apply your temperature specific wax in thin layers on top.
To remove, cover the wax area with toilet paper or fiberlene. Run a warm - not hot - iron over the top to pull the wax into the paper. Scrap away while ski base is still warm and finish with base cleaner on Fibertex or more fiberlene / toilet paper, rembering to clean the ski sides walls of the wax pocket too.

Intro

The base of your ski is much like your skin - it needs mosturing every now and then to stay smooth and healthy. How often you wax your skis will depend on; how often you use them, where you store them and the abrasivnes of the snow your skiing on.

Frequency: For skiers, skiing 3+ times a week, a fortnightly wax would be resonable, weekly preferable and monthly minimal. If you don't have the gear or space to have your own set-up and you hit the trails only a few times a season, you should minimally ensure you get a storage wax put on during the off season, and ideally one additional wax mid season.

Storage Wax: If you only get one wax a season make sure it's a storage wax for the off season! Skis bases are porous and sensitive to changes in tempreture and humidity. A storage wax wil keep the ski from drying out and becoming brittle.
