"Before my time in snowboarding, Burton made a two-tongue boot that’s said to be the secret to some of Brushie’s tweaks. 25+ years later and Jake wanted to revisit the concept because it was so good. Like Jake, I’m a big Speed Zone fan, and moving the laces to the side not only creates a more adjustable side-to-side flex for tweaking but alleviates top foot pressure with less materials between your strap and foot."

"The two-tongue design provides noticeably more heel hold than most boots I’ve ridden; it also feels really lightweight and fits like a sock. But this boot is extra special because Jake was so passionate about seeing this idea through. Like damn near every product at Burton, Jake was hell-bent on constantly improving the ride." - Words by Danny Davis.

FEATURES:

  • Speed Zone Lacing System, Powered by Burton Exclusive New England Ropes with a Lifetime Warranty
  • GripLITE backstay snugs up the fit between the boot and hi-back for direct energy transfer and reduced rider fatigue
  • 1:1 medium flex PowerUp tongue creates a snug fit between boot and tongue, eliminating the need to readjust while you ride
  • Focus cuff boosts heel hold by hugging the ankle, riding slightly higher for increased response
  • Imprint 3 heat-mouldable liner has a hook-and-loop closure system with an inner lace lock for a snug fit and lightweight power panel for added response
  • Vibram Traction Lug outsole with EcoStep rubber provides increased surface area for more contact points that grip the ground in a lighter weight package that uses 30% recycled rubber content
  • EST optimised midsole lowers your center of gravity and improves board feel without sacrificing comfort
  • Shrinkage footbed reduction technology reduces the boot's overall footprint, minimising toe drag
  • Total Comfort Construction with a wider fit provides an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box, eliminating the break-in period
  • Snow-proof internal gusset completely seals the lower zone of the boot, keeping your feet warm and dry
  • Sleeping bag reflective foil underfoot reflects heat back to the foot, improving both warmth and comfort in cold conditions
  • B3 gel cushioning provides maximum damping, doesn't harden in cold temperatures, and withstands repeated impact without breaking down

Buying Guide

Intro
Intro

Snowboard boots are the heart of your setup — they’re not just shoes, they’re how you move your board. The right fit and flex can make all the difference, turning a good day on the hill into a great one. Picking the perfect boots sets you up for comfort, control, and more fun every time you ride.

Finding the right snowboard boot can sometimes be challenging, which is why we always recommend coming in for a proper fitting. If you’re fitted by us and aren’t completely happy with the fit, it’s important to come back before buying a new pair. There are plenty of options we can explore to get your boots feeling just right.

Flex
Flex

The flex of your snowboard boots determines how responsive they feel on the board. Softer boots are more forgiving, easier to break in, and allow greater ankle movement, making them ideal for beginners or rail riders who value comfort and flexibility. Stiffer boots deliver maximum response, edge hold, and support, transferring your movements instantly to the board, making them best suited for advanced riders or anyone seeking precise control at higher speeds. Medium-flex boots offer a balance between comfort and performance, providing enough support for carving and jumps while still being forgiving enough for all-mountain riding.

Lacing System
Lacing System

Snowboard boots come with a few different lacing systems, the most common being Traditional Lacing, BOA, and Speed Lace. Each system has its own benefits depending on your preferences and riding style.

  • Traditional laces work just like regular sneakers. They offer the most customizable fit and are easy to repair, but can be more difficult to tighten, especially in cold conditions.

  • Speed lace systems use quick-pull cords instead of standard laces, making them faster and easier to adjust on the go.

BOA systems use one or more dials to tighten high density rope or steal cables, allowing for quick and even tightening with minimal effort. They’re convenient, though repairs can be trickier compared to traditional laces.

Foot Beds
Foot Beds

Your new snowboard boots will come with a standard footbed, but we recommend choosing one that matches the arch of your foot to maximize comfort. A properly fitted footbed helps with alignment, balance, and stability by ensuring your foot is fully supported inside the boot. You can start with a quality off-the-shelf footbed, or if your budget allows, a custom footbed is always the best option for optimal performance and comfort.
