If you’re pushing your skiing a bit harder and want a tighter, more powerful feel, the Tecnica Mach1 LV 120 TD2 GW Ski Boots step things up without going full race mode. With a 120 flex and a low-volume 98 mm last, this boot is aimed at advanced skiers who want precision, edge control, and a more direct connection to their skis.

Compared to the 110, the difference is noticeable straight away. The flex feels more supportive when you’re driving into turns or skiing at higher speeds, but it still keeps a progressive feel rather than hitting a hard wall. It’s the kind of flex that rewards good technique without punishing you all day.

The T-Drive 2.0 system helps keep that flex smooth and consistent, while also improving how efficiently energy moves from your leg into the ski. You get a more stable, planted feel, especially when conditions firm up or terrain gets more demanding.

The C.A.S. liner and shell work together to create a close, anatomical fit out of the box, and they’re designed to be customised if needed. Add in GripWalk soles for easier movement around the resort, and you’ve got a boot that balances high-performance skiing with real-world usability.

Materials

PU Shell with Quick Instep - Polyurethane construction provides consistent flex and durability. The Quick Instep design uses softer plastic over the instep area to make the boot easier to get on and off.

PU Cuff with Backspine - A polyurethane cuff with structural reinforcement supports strong energy transfer and stability. It provides a more powerful feel suited to higher performance skiing.

Additional Features
Additional Features

T-Drive 2.0 - The T-Drive 2.0 is a two-piece mechanism that connects the shell and cuff, allowing the cuff to slightly rotate at the front. This enhances power transmission to the forefoot, reduces shell deformation, and provides a smooth, progressive flex that stays consistent across a wide range of temperatures.

4 Micro Adjustable Aluminium Buckles with Lift Lock - Four aluminium micro-adjustable buckles provide precise, independent closure across the entire boot. The Lift Lock system holds the buckles up and out of the way when getting in or out of the boot.

Velcro Power Strap - A velcro strap across the top of the cuff adds extra forward lean control and locks the shin firmly against the tongue for improved power transmission.

Fit is Everything – Ski boots must match your foot shape, size, and skiing style. A proper fit ensures control, comfort, and confidence on the snow. Boots should feel snug but not painful, and liners will pack out slightly with use.

Size
Size

If your foot measures 26.5cm long, your ski boot size is 26.5.

Ideally, your boot size should be as close as possible to your actual foot measurement.

Last / Width
Last / Width

Ski boots generally come in three volume categories:

  • Low Volume (Narrow) – narrower forefoot, lower instep, tighter heel hold
  • Mid Volume – average width and instep
  • High Volume (Wide) – wider forefoot, higher instep, more overall space

The two key measurements when determining volume are:

  • Forefoot width (in millimetres)
  • Instep height

Custom Footbeds
Custom Footbeds

Invest in Footbeds – Footbeds, either custom-moulded or convenient drop-in, stabilise your foot, support your arches, and improve comfort and control.

See a Professional Bootfitter – Buying boots online is not recommended, although we understand not everyone lives near a ski shop. If you can make a special trip to see a bootfitter, they will analyse your foot, assess width, instep, and biomechanics, select the right flex, and make custom adjustments for comfort and performance.

Failing that, always call ahead and speak with a boot fitter about what we have in stock, your skiing style, confidence, and any additional details. Our fitters can only provide advice based on the information you provide; no guarantees are made. Once boots have been skied in, you are unable to return them; however, we will always continue to try and work with you on boot modifications to give you the best fit possible
