P.E Nation pieces are built with performance fabrics and elevated construction, so a little care goes a long way. Follow these tips to keep your gear looking good and performing the way it should.

Skip the Fabric Softener

Activewear is designed to be soft and flexible already. Fabric softener can damage the fabric, reduce stretch, and affect performance over time. Best to leave it out.

Don’t Let It Sit

Sweat and bacteria can settle into the fabric and cause lingering odours. After a heavy workout or long wear, wash your active pieces as soon as you can instead of leaving them in the laundry basket.

Wash Separately

Styles with bold colour blocking or prints should be washed on their own, even if the colours look similar. This helps prevent colour transfer and reduces friction damage.

Avoid washing activewear with towels or fleece, as lint can stick to the fabric. Turning garments inside out before washing also helps protect prints and minimise colour fading. If you need to wash items together, using a laundry bag is a good option.

Cold Wash Only

Cold water helps prevent colour fading, colour bleeding, and shrinkage. Hot water can also lock in sweat stains, so sticking to cold is better for both fit and appearance.

Air Dry, Always

Dryer heat can affect fit, stretch, and fabric performance. After washing, turn garments inside out and hang them to dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. Sun exposure can fade colours faster than you think.
