Rhythm Snowsports has been operating in Cooma, Australia since 1985. Rhythm was started as a small service station and is now known as the biggest and most progressive snowsports store in the southern hemisphere. Rhythm Snowsports also has stores in both Hakuba and Niseko, Japan.

Rhythm is known to have the best reputation for quality gear and professional staff. We offer premium retail, rental, workshop services for all activities from ski/snowboaring to mountain biking. Rhythm can be very busy during peak periods; you will be asked to work with us to get through these times. YOUR NEW ROLE

We currently have a job opportunity in our communications team who look after range of roles including social media, PR, marketing, events and sponsorships.

To fill this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the outdoors and love spending their days up at the snow or on a bike during summer.

Duties include:

Creating content for multiple platforms (youtube, facebook, instagram and our blog)

Designing promotional material

Assist in organising events at Rhythm and offsight

Execute and manage giveaways

Assist with team riders and other sponsorships

Work closely with Brand reps organising cross promotions

Assist in developing new social media strategies and campaigns

Interact with customers and answer customer enquiries through social media platforms

Assisting the customer service department when needed (including answering emails and phone calls)

Advantageous skills, experience & attributes

Ability to create social media content (basic editing skills for video and imagery)

Natural interest in design and creativity

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

]Must be familiar with all social media platforms (Facebook, instagram, Youtube)

Must have a passion for the snow sport/ mountain biking industry to capture content on hill

Excellent time management skills, to ensure deadlines are met

Possess a positive attitude

Attention to detail and good organisational skills

Be highly self driven with initiative to be hands on to support a wider team

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about the outdoors and have an absolute love for the snow.
You will also need to be creative and have an excellent knowledge of social media platforms and the never ending changes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate who has a high level of initiative and has the ability to adapt and work as part of a team.

You will have to be well-organised, be customer-orientated and be highly motivated with a positive attitude.
