Your new role

As a ski technician you will be talking skis and snow conditions all day with our customers. You will assist them with rental selection, boot fitting and ensure skis are set up correctly and safely. You will be passionate about the snow, so you can stoke our customers with your knowledge as a friendly expert.

Job duties:

  • Acknowledge customers quickly and courteously
  • Determine guest equipment needs, assist with rental selection and set up
  • Assist guests with retail goods that they are looking for
  • Complete necessary documentation and paperwork neatly and accurately
  • Comply with all area and industry procedures and regulations
  • Comply with all company, store and area policies and procedures
  • Keep work area organised and clean
  • Maintain rental fleet in good condition
  • Train customer on equipment care and use
  • Co-operate and assist other departments as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have an in depth understanding of skis, how they perform in different conditions and what sets them apart from one another. On top of this, you should be able to translate this to a customer and put them on the best ski so that they have an epic experience. We stock the latest and best gear, so any prior and current knowledge will be advantageous. Additionally, you will be dexterous, good with tools, strong enough to lift various size skis and be a team player, as you will be a part of one of the busiest departments in our Cooma store.

Your new role

As a custom boot fitter, you will be required to serve customers and make assessments on clients needs. You will also need to measure and fit them into the correct size, shape and style of boots. You will be trained to provide top level service and sell a range of our retail products suited to the needs of each customer. You will have a high level of knowledge about skiing and snowboarding, as well as related products.

Job duties

  • Acknowledge customers quickly and courteously
  • Determine customer equipment needs, assist with boot selection
  • Provide additional fitting services, as required
  • Make custom foot beds, custom moulding liners, stretching boot shells
  • Perform stance alignment assessments
  • Trouble shooting and boot alterations
  • Assisting shoppers with finding the retail goods they are looking for
  • Complete necessary documentation and paperwork neatly and accurately
  • Comply with all area and industry procedures and regulations
  • Comply with all company, store and area policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of workshop and store
  • Train customers on equipment care and use

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in custom boot fitting is highly desirable
  • Experience with the retail sales of ski boots
  • Experience with boot modifications: stretching boot shells, liner modifications
  • Experience with making custom innersoles for snow sports is desireable

Your new role

As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our rental fleet, customers equipment repairs, customers ski and snowboard tunes and waxes. Once training has been provided to you, you will also be required to mount customers ski bindings from time to time. The rental fleet at Rhythm consists of over 3000 skis and 2000 snowboards, with approximately 500-1000 being rented daily. The Rhythm Workshop is the most popular workshop in town with a reputation of delivering the highest quality service. Expect to be a part of a passionate and pumping work environment.

Job duties

  • Acknowledge customers quickly and courteously
  • Determine customer equipment repair and maintenance needs
  • Advise customer on repairs, tunes and waxes
  • Service customers equipment to a high standard
  • Mount ski bindings (once training has been provided)
  • Maintain Rhythm’s and customer’s equipment
  • Comply with all area and industry procedures and regulations
  • Comply with all company, store and area policies and procedures
  • Cooperate and assist other departments as needed
  • Train customers on equipment care and use
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Your new role

As a Guest Services Assistant, you will be bubbly, friendly and technologically savvy with the ability to work in a fast paced environment in a customer facing role. You will be predominantly based behind the front counter processing payments, answering calls and answering walk-in guests enquiries. Your focus will be to ensure that all of our customers have a fantastic in-store experience and leave the store full of stoke. You must have a natural ability to converse with customers whilst being informative and helpful to ensure guests have an epic experience. 

Job duties

  • Acknowledge customers quickly and courteously
  • Assist customers with enquiries, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Process retail and rental transactions
  • Maintain customer records and update customer accounts
  • Process cash and EFTPOS payments
  • Maintain a clean counter area, free of mess and clutter
  • Assist in general cleaning duties
  • Respond to customer complaints and comments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you’ll need to succeed in this role

To be successful in this role you must have proven customer service, communication and cash handling experience. You will thrive in a customer-facing role, with the ability to resolve conflicts or complains effectively. Ideally, you will have excellent organisational skills as well as a high level of stoke.
