However, we know that buying a snowboard is a big investment so our  friendly team is on hand to help. In the Winter months we also offer a try-before-you-buy service, where you can take one of our demo women’s snowboards out to help you decide if it’s the one for you. We’ll even deduct up to two days of demo hire from a full-priced board purchase!

Wax For Life

Because we believe in quality snowboards that ride well season after season, we offer “waxing for life” on any snowboard purchased at Rhythm. Simply pop into our workshop and we’ll have you sliding smoothly for another trip!

What’s the difference between a mens and womens snowboard?

Women’s snowboards are typically slightly lighter, narrower and shorter than a men’s board. This is due to the different physiques of men and women, notably height, weight and shoe size. A women’s board also tends to be more flexible/ less stiff than a men’s alternative.

These difference help to make you you have the best possible ride but they don’t preclude a man from rising a womens board or vice versa.

Can women use mens snowboards?

Yes, absolutely! A lot of boards are unisex and are great for both men and women. It’s really a personal preference.

How long should a womens snowboard be?

The size of your board will depend on a couple of important factors:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Shoe size
  • Experience level
  • Type/ purpose of snowboard

Generally your snowboard will be 80 - 95% of your standing height, but it does vary from person to person. The best way to know is to try out s few boards and see what feels comfortable or to chat to an expert.
