Gigi Ruf launched Slash in 2012. The Happy Place is the mid-level freestyle option that Gigi and his team provide. It does exactly what they say it will – you’ll find your freestyling happy place. Whatever you want to ollie, the pop that this board brings makes it effortless. With a core made of at least three types of wood, it’s been dubbed the ‘Snap, Crackle & Pop’. It feels like a living thing beneath your feet. It has a Hybrid Camber profile which provides excellent stability and efficient turn. With its twin shape, stomping in either direction is equally achieved. It has low mid flexibility ensuring your butters and presses flow. You’ll be most impressed with its response. Even though it feels more camber oriented, which may at first alter your style when hitting the boxes, the happy place leaves no unhappy trace in the parks.
