The Village 8 chair at Perisher was in full swing today. It was the perfect sample of what is hopefully to come for the rest of the season, bluebird day with enough snow among the trees for the experienced to be excited and plenty of perfectly groomed snow for the beginners to learn. One grommet out there today was only 4 and a half years old but was onto their third season snowboarding! Perisher had one terrain park open just next to the V8 for those who wanted to pull a few tricks and on the other side they had the magic carpet open for those not quite ready for the chair.
It's the best season opener in years and with 11 lifts expected to be open tomorrow and Sunday it's only going to get better! So dust off your skis and get out there!
