General Description: New for the 16-17 season, DPS’ Wailer 106 sports a redesigned rocker profile to retain the aspects you love about the 112 and 99 (floaty, playful), but also work in the benefits of the 105 (damp, charger). The rocker profile is now shallower, but extends deeper into the ski. This means the ski is essentially pre-bent into the ideal radius for turns, allowing the ski to use more of the edge and hence provide increased grip.
Basically the ski is a blend between the playful shape of the 112 and the aggressive charger shape of the 105, resulting in a ski that not only planes easily in powder but is keen to rip big carve turns at high speed too.
With the Tour1 construction you have a wonderfully versatile ski that adapts to any of the various conditions you’ll find in the backcountry, but in a super-lightweight package that will leave your legs fresh to tackle those conditions.
