General Description: The narrowest ski of Volkl’s Big Mountain Touring line, the 94 is an excellent choice for the hard-charging freeride tourer who wants performance for the frontside too. The relatively narrow waist for skis of this breed means it is fast from edge to edge, and has extra versatility when it comes to dealing with unpredictable snow quality. The Fully rockered design gives this ski fantastic flotation in soft snow. In most skis, this would mean the skis performance is reduced when taken on-piste as the ski would struggle for edge grip – not in this case. The V-Werks construction with its usage of carbon, aramid and titanal means the longitudinal and torsional rigidity of this ski is high, while the weight is kept low. The specially designed rocker shape complements perfectly the sidecut of the ski to ensure full contact along the edge of the ski when laid over.
